VOLUNTEER

Help us make a difference!

With the continued support of donors like you, Span is able to provide intensive, one-on-one support services to more than 1200 men and women annually as they transition out of prison and into society.

Translation Services

Help clients for whom English is their second language by translating critical program documents. Our current primary need is for Spanish translation. If you are interested in volunteering to provide translation services, please contact April Robbins at arobbins@spaninc.org or call 617-423-0750 ext. 138.

Direct Client Services

Help our clients learn vital skills and develop their positive creativity. Teach a workshop in such areas as cooking, handmade greeting cards, journaling, nutrition, tax preparation, English as a Second Language, GED tutoring, art, starting a small business, or other areas in which you have expertise to share. Career Mentoring

Engage with clients participating in Span's Prisoner Re-Entry Initiative (PRI). We need volunteer mentors to engage with individual clients and support their working toward career goals, maintain employment and engaging in positive activities.

Administrative Support

Join our staff as an administrative support volunteer! We need help with data entry, client reception, Web & graphic design, photography, and event planning. If you are interested in volunteering as administrative support, please contact April Robbins at arobbins@spaninc.org or call 617-423-0750 ext. 138.

Database Support

Help Span track clients and services! Span is looking for assistance with the design and creation of an MS Access database. We need a volunteer to help create tables, forms, and reporting functions for Span's new database. If you are interested in assisting with the database, please contact Annie Madden at amadden@spaninc.org or call 617-423-0750 ext. 166.
